JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - After holding off a late rally last week, the JU football team looks to finish the season with a second straight win as the Dolphins host Wagner at Noon on Saturday.

The Dolphins (3-7) wrapped up Pioneer Football League play last week with a 24-16 win over Butler. So far this season, JU has been able to put two wins together but have one last shot this week.

"We've been looking for consistency all season and we've had a good week of practice leading up to this game," said JU head coach Kerwin Bell. "We know that Wagner is a very good team and that we must play the entire 60 minutes to have a chance at finishing this season the right way."

Jacksonville used big plays on both sides of the ball in knocking off the Bulldogs last week.

Quarterback Chris Horton threw for more than 200 yards and two touchdowns - including a 70-yard scoring toss to Geavon Tribble. That touchdown pass was one of three passing plays of 20 yards or longer for JU in the contest.

The defense also contributed with big plays, picking off three passes ending Butler's final two drives with picks. Robson Noel picked up his first interception while James Mills iced the game with his record-tying fifth interception of the season.

"We were looking for big plays from both sides of the ball and we had some guys step up when we needed them," Bell said.

Saturday's contest also marks the final home game for 12 JU seniors, including quarterback Chris Horton, receivers Nate Conner and Michael Jenner, defensive lineman Kiel Pierce and defensive backs James Mills, Weidner Maxime and Bryan Flowers.

"Saturday is going to be an emotional game for our seniors and I know they want to finish this strong," Bell said. "A lot of these guys have given four years to this program and I am truly thankful for their efforts on and off the field this season in leading our team."

The game will be broadcast live on 1010XL, with Barry Milligan and Frank Callihan calling the action. Fans can follow the action live on the Internet with ASun.TV through JUDolphins.com as the TV broadcast will be shown on a tape delay basis on Comcast-Jacksonville, Channel 14 with Cole Pepper, Micah Ross and Matthew Kampfe describing the play.
