AS A REDSHIRT-SOPHOMORE (2007): Sat out the season due to shoulder surgery. AS A REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2006): Sat out the first four months of the season recovering from elbow surgery before moving into the No. 3 slot in the starting rotation...made his collegiate debut with a two-inning no-decision at Florida Atlantic (4/30)...hurled three shutout innings in his second start at Kennesaw State (5/7)...allowed no earned runs in three innings against Mercer (5/13)...did not allow an earned run in a season-high seven consecutive innings...earned A-Sun Academic All-Conference honors. AS A FRESHMAN (2005): Sat out the year as a medical redshirt after recovering from elbow surgery. HIGH SCHOOL: Played his senior season as a first baseman and pitcher at Episcopal High School for coach Mike Jones...as a team captain, he led the Eagles to a 22-2 record, a district championship and was named second team all-First Coast after posting an 8-1 record with a 0.72 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 42 innings...played his junior season at Trinity Christian High School for coach Bobby Forsyth...earned all-state honorable mention honors after leading the squad to a district and regional championship with a 6-2 record and a 2.21 ERA...played his sophomore season at Mandarin High School for coach Joe Hicks...helped the squad to a district championship...did not play as a freshman due to an elbow injury...member of the National Honor Society.
