AS A JUNIOR (2007): Ranked second among Dolphin relievers with 22 appearances, while also registering one start...third amongst the bullpen with 19 strikeouts on the year, including a season-high three against Kennesaw State in game one of a doubleheader (3/24)...logged a season-high 5.1 innings of scoreless relief against No. 18 Stetson (4/22)...earned his first win with 4.1 innings of scoreless relief against UConn (3/7)...notched his first collegiate start with three scoreless innings at No. 1 Florida State...did not allow a run in 14-of-22 appearances.

PRIOR TO JU: Spent two seasons at Santa Fe Community College as a pitcher and outfielder for Harry Tholen...as a sophomore and freshman, he was named to the Mid-Florida Conference All-Star team and led the Saints in ERA each season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter at Clay High School as a shortstop and pitcher for Rob Thompson...as a senior, he earned all-conference and team MVP honors...as a junior, he was named all-conference and led the Blue Devils to a 23-9 record and a conference title...also a two-year starter in football as a wide receiver and defensive back...led the squad to a 12-2 record and a district title as a senior...in AAU play, he earned the Cy Young Award in the Northwoods League for the Alexandria Beetles in 2005.

PERSONAL: Born June 6, 1986, in Memphis, Tenn...son of Claude and Cheri...he and his wife, Debbie, have a son, Merrick...has a brother, Bryan; and a sister, Andrea...cousin, Brandon, played baseball at Tallahassee Community College from 2004-05 and is currently playing at Flagler College as a pitcher...major is exercise science.
