PRIOR TO JU: Two-year starter as a catcher and first baseman for Indian River Community College...as a sophomore, he earned second team all-conference honors after batting .383 with seven home runs and 29 RBI...as a freshman, he batted .303 with four home runs, nine doubles and 32 RBI while throwing out 12-of-16 base runners...named to the Dean's List each year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter as a catcher and third baseman for Bill Hicks at Fort Pierce Central High School...as a senior, he led the Cobras to a 26-3 record and a district title after batting .511 with seven home runs, seven doubles and 29 RBI while throwing out 24-of-27 base runners en route to district tournament MVP honors...also named first team all-state, all-area and all-conference that same season...as a junior, he was named third team all-state, first team all-area and first team all-conference after hitting .486 with six home runs, five doubles and 32 RBI...as a sophomore, he was named second team all-area and first team all-conference as a third baseman after batting .390 with three doubles and 11 RBI in only 14 games due to mononucleosis...as a freshman, he was named second team all-state and first team all-area as a third baseman after hitting .585, with five home runs, nine doubles and 41 RBI...in AAU play, he was a member of the Florida Hawks...named to Dean's List, was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class.
